Good resources for learning algorithms?

Recommend good resources (books, preferably links) for learning algorithms. I try to google, but I find only superficial "rewrite reviewers" of a couple of algorithms, without a clear explanation of the essence.
Preferably with examples in PL (preferably C++/C-like).
