Gmail unavailable?

Sorry in advance if I'm panicking, but I need to urgently receive a letter, and authorization in Gmail gives this thing:
Error 126 (net::ERR_SSL_BAD_RECORD_MAC_ALERT) (in Chrome)

After authorization, for about a minute there was a message that the Gmail application was unavailable. The application status page , however, does not mention this.

Here's another thing: when I try to log in through IE9, I get this message:

“We're sorry. A problem has been detected. Try using Gmail with a supported browser. If this error occurred while using a supported browser, we recommend that you notify your Internet Service Provider (ISP) that their proxy server does not accept cookies in HTTP redirects."

Is this a local issue?

UPD: the provider is aware, the problem remains. I 'll have to postpone until the morning, thanks
UPD2: my provider is ER-Telecom, but the problem is also observed in St. Petersburg and Moscow. The approximate start of the disaster is 23:10 09/06/2012. It seems that the matter is really in the provider - I logged in from the working machine without any problems. Although the problem may be fixed overnight

Solution from badguy : Reduce MTU to 1400 in the connection settings of the router
UPD3 ( coocheenin ): For TP-Link, it is enough to reduce it to 1470.

The same garbage - provider 2ip.ru/isp/Limited+Liability+Company+Infocentre
connection - PPPoE through a TP-LINK TL-WR1043ND V1 router. During the dances with a tambourine, it turned out that everything works without a router (directly). I also tried it through D-LINK 320 on DD-WRT - it works. On TP-LINK'e I checked 2 firmware (110712, 120405) - one fig.
As a result, I flashed TP-LINK on OpenWRT - the error disappeared. I asked a question to the support of the provider and TP-LINK

Setting MTU helped yesterday. And can someone explain what the tsimus is? I’m not very good at networks, I don’t suck it up, how does the link layer parameter of the OSI model affect authorization in Google? 0_O

For statistics: TP-Link TL-MR3420 (mgts) continued to fail to connect (attempt to log in) in any browser until the cache (and cookies) was cleared. The Bat! came to life itself and no longer swears at the TLS error. I'm glad I didn't rush to reflash right away.

I also reduced the MTU to 1400 and authorization on Google earned. Clearing cache and cookies didn't help.

Shamanism and nothing more. Yesterday everything was fixed "on its own", and today TheBat! It does not send mail, nor does authorization in the browser pass. Miracles and only ... I would like a clear explanation from TP-Linka (if the reason is at the link level)

Same problem. Only the decrease in MTU to 1400 (from 1480) helped. Router TP-Link TL-WR841ND, provider Dom.ru (Nizhny Novgorod).
Did not help:
- complete clearing of the browser history;
— browser change (Chrome, FireFox, IE9);
- adding mail.google.com and google.com cookies to the allowed list;
- adding antivirus to exceptions and disabling antivirus;
– change of car (computer, laptop);
— OS change (Windows, Linux Ubuntu);
(I found some of these tips as a solution to this problem in Google support).
Thank you very much.

I reflashed TPLink to openwrt backfire - everything was fixed.
True, I had to tinker with openwrt ... by default there is no web-interface - you need to install it separately:
opkg update
opkg install luci
WHY did the error initially occur and what does the router have to do with it - I didn’t understand, everywhere they are silent about it :/

Same problem. Unfortunately, there is no access to the router settings. The problem only occurs in Chrome. Everything works fine in IE and Firefox. In addition, in Chrome in incognito mode, everything also works. Tried disabling Extensions, didn't help. What else could it be?

For TP-Link, it is enough to reduce it to 1470 (in my case, by 10 bytes). It is not entirely clear why 1480 is bad, since the ping with the 1452 packet passes without fragmentation (and this is the initial default 1480). But 1460 is already fragmented ...

The official response from TP-Link support so far looks like this:

Hello.
Using a search engine, we found mention of this problem among users of other vendors, for example, on dlink 500T and asus wl-520gu.
We are currently investigating what happened.
