Gmail domain chat messages sent offline now arrive as emails instead of chat messages
Friends, tell me please.
I use Google Apps for the domain. In particular, I actively use chat (jabber). Recently, messages sent to me when I was not online stopped coming to the jabber client. Instead, they come as letters. It is very uncomfortable. I feel like it has something to do with the recent release of Hangouts. In the settings of Google Apps, I covered everything that is possible. Found the only option:
Enable the new version of Hangouts for messaging and video calls
The new version of Hangouts adds Google Talk functionality to video calls
. If you use Google+ Hangouts for video calls, you can skip this announcement.
- Enable the new version of Hangouts for users in this organizational unit
- Do not enable the new version of Hangouts and keep the current settings

It has always been like this if, after offline, you first open the mail web interface, and then the Jabber.
This is not related to hangouts. There is some kind of dependence, I used to always get everything in the jabber client, then it began to fall like in your mail. But that changed a couple of years ago for me, not now. Like letters, they always lie in gmail, only some fly to the jabber client, and some remain letters.
