Hello.

Will the respected community tell you how to make it so that in the case when the upstream falls off on a timeout, give a 500 error instead of 404?

@VBart

If the upstream falls off on a timeout, then nginx gives 504 Gateway timeout by default, and if you have something else, it means that you configured it yourself. Therefore, to the question "how", the answer will be - to return to the original state.
