GeoDNS or GeoIP DNS pros and cons?

Perhaps someone used GeoDNS, and there is a point of view on this issue. I would like to hear all the pros and cons.
The essence of the task now is such that you are interested in the ability to hang different IP addresses for different regions (USA, Europe, Russia, China, Asia) on one domain in order to provide faster access to the application.
