Games on UWP, what do they use?

Good time to you! Not so long ago I discovered the UWP platform and the Windows Store, rummaged around there and found very "graphic" content, including applications and games. Question: games (3D) or application software with good graphics can only be created using UWP, or is it in most cases that some kind of engine compiled everything under UWP?
On WPF, I have not seen such content as on UWP ...

For games, engines like Unity are usually used, for other applications, standard C# + Xaml development tools and cross-platform technologies like Qt and Xamarin
PS. On WPF, you can make the interface no worse than on the uwp sdk, just the requirements for desktop applications are slightly different

There are also ready-made engines, such as Unity, you can write your own, UWP is good and DirectX is friendly

Only they are written in C++
