Gamedev without math?

Of all areas of programming, I am MOST interested in game development. As a child, I dreamed of playing games. I literally sat down to study C ++ and I was besieged by the fact that knowledge of mathematics is very important in game development. Besides, gamedev = life at work. I don't know how true these statements are.
What are the options if I have no knowledge of mathematics? That is, in principle, I understand everything well. If necessary, I can read the textbook of discrete mathematics. In general, what are the options? Or if you weren’t a math nerd at school, is it expensive for gamedev to close?

Learn math? You can at the same time enter a more decent university (MFTI, St. Petersburg State University, ...).
