Game development smart?
Good afternoon!
A month ago, I started developing a turn-based RPG with Disciples mechanics on the Unity3D engine. For me, it's more of a hobby, but I take any hobby seriously and came here for help.
I myself am a radio engineer by education and I am familiar with development at the level of test tasks for the position of a junior and PHP developer courses from ITMO University (I went to broaden my horizons), in a word I understand the basics, OOP, what patterns are, but there is no real practice.
At the moment, a lot of questions have accumulated, and I see communication with people who have experience and knowledge in the issue of game development as the most rational way out.
If there are people here who are ready to advise and share their experience, on a paid or free basis, then I will be very glad to meet you.

I categorically do not advise you to start with Disciples, if you haven’t made games before, you won’t pull it. Start with the classic games of the 70s and 80s: Asteroids , Space Invaders , Pac-Man , etc. Most likely, one such game will last you a week or two of entertainment. Once you get the hang of it, then you can move on to more difficult games. You can also look like hackathons and game jams, there are many developers at them, you will have someone to talk to. If they are not held in your city, then you can participate online, for example, Ludum Dare will be held this weekend .
