Gallery engine

Harbavians, we need help! I can not find a suitable engine for the gallery.

I am creating a site on a popular topic, only photos will be stored on this site. So I would like to find the right engine for this case. The best example of what I need is fffuuu comics .

That is, it is necessary that the latest photos be displayed on the main plate, each photo is a separate news on the site, which can be written in the title and description. It is necessary that it be possible to display the most popular photos, photos with the highest rating, photos for today, random photos and more. You also need a rating (I think obviously).

I would also like that there would be an opportunity to fasten the sending of photos from the site, but that there would be preliminary moderation. I would also like to have comments, but this is solved with the help of disqus, so it's not a problem.

At the beginning I wanted to do everything on wordpress, but for such purposes it is too gluttonous. Therefore, I decided to better look for an engine for these purposes.

If you like WordPress but don't like its heaviness, check out MaxSite CMS (http://max-3000.com/)

Actually any CMS and any gallery engine will do, they can do all this, if you are not familiar with php and do not collect a lot of things to add yourself, then take Wordpress, joomla, drupal, there are many galleries there. many modules from which you can collect everything you need without going into details html php.
If you are planning a serious project and therefore a lot of individual functionality, then I would definitely advise you to write from scratch on the framework: Yii, Symfony, CakePHP, CodeIgniter. For a knowledgeable person, given the possibilities of these frameworks, write such a gallery for 3-4 days without straining.
Which way to choose is up to you!
