From scratch to creating electronic circuits. Courses, books, skills?

Good afternoon.
Having finished my fifth year as a design engineer, I realized that I like it (much more than web development), but time has already been lost and very, very much has passed my empty head :( Therefore, I ask fellow electronics engineers and designers to give a strong push in the ass, and show the way through the thorns to the stars, from emptiness to the ability to create (understand) electronic circuits. For my knowledge is very fragmentary and not complete.1.Is it
necessary to start from the very basics, with the physics of electricity and magnetism?Or 2. Is it possible to catch up
with your colleagues in the shortest possible time in order to apply for the position of junior engineer at the enterprise?
3. If you work at a radio-electronic enterprise in a design bureau, then write (if not a secret) what skills and knowledge should an applicant for a junior position have?
Thank you.

1. Highly desirable. Knowing physics helps a lot to understand why this or that element works the way it works. If time is short, you can start with the basics of circuitry. Oh, Kirchhoff, that's all.
2. Very individual. Nothing is impossible.
3.
- Circuit engineering, analog and digital, at the level of a university graduate.
- Typical nodes and schemes. Amplifiers, power supplies, DAC/ADC, logic, sensors. At least the general idea.
- At least minimal knowledge of the element base. It's one thing - a symbol on the diagram, another - a real detail that corresponds to it.
- Knowledge of MK and/or FPGA is highly welcome. Experience in writing embedded software.
- General understanding of the electronics development cycle.
- CAD skills: circuit design, modeling, board layout.

Try to develop a simple device yourself. In the process, many questions will arise, and by answering them, you will increase your level of knowledge.
