Freshly installed Windows 8.1 wiped out the boot menu of existing Windows OS. How to avoid this during installation?
Hello!
I had two Windows on my computer: 7 and 8.1 Pro x32
Yesterday I installed Windows 8.1 Pro x64 from a bootable flash drive on my computer.
After installation, I was surprised to find that the boot menu was gone, that is, when loading, it is not prompted to select one of the three systems, but a new one is immediately loaded.
I did not expect such a rude behavior of the installer.
After sweating for half an hour, I restored and set up the loading of the previous axes, but this required manual intervention and time, and the Bella Vista Utility program helped.
And how could you install a new system so that it does not overwrite the existing boot menu for operating systems, but simply adds a new option to this menu?

The system during installation will always overwrite the old boot menus. Google may have some utilities to quickly restore it.
