FreeBSD 10.0 how to properly recompile the kernel?

for some reason, the kernel with IPFIREWALL_FORWARD
unknown option "IPFIREWALL_FORWARD" is not built, I run it from the /usr/src/sys/amd64/
directory, and make
don t know how make cleandepend just does not work,
what are the options?
about the source code in advance, the question is: you can download them from the repositories, i.e. ports (by the way, what is the difference between them?). otherwise I flipped through the handbook there, csup was mentioned in passing, I didn’t understand how to use it

As far as I remember, IPFIREWALL_FORWARD from version 10 is now enabled by default and the need for this option has disappeared, so it was excluded.
On build error, do this, go to
Execute
There should be a response like:

Kernel build directory is ../compile/Имя_конфига
Don't forget to do ``make cleandepend && make depend''

run
Next as standard
It is better to take sources from csup, they are fresh there.
