Free stable PHP engine. Which to choose?

Actually, the question of leaving the crooked scammers has ripened and I want to switch to a PHP engine, which is better common, so that you can always connect a third-party developer quickly and efficiently.

Again, preferably free, with paid ones, a very crooked practice of “hooking” a client to its support. Tired.

I myself worked a lot with Zhumla (stop spitting - a cheap and effective option for corporate business cards), but I wanted to work with something more serious, and writing it myself was not an option. You need to move to a new solution very quickly.

Thanks in advance for your replies

There are only 4 free high-quality CMS with a large community now:

  • drupal - simple, common, decent quality;
  • joomla is common, but the quality of the code leaves much to be desired. See cve.mitre.org/cgi-bin/cvekey.cgi?keyword=joomla
  • wordpress is not only a blogging engine, it is also a full-fledged CMS. For most simple sites (ordinary business clients), it is enough, and what is important - a huge number of users and developers. Therefore, finding a performer is extremely cheap.
  • typo3 is a higher class solution. A very high entry threshold, but the authors took care of a lot of things. From those who studied it closely, the reviews are very good, and security problems are extremely rare.

Separately, there are also specialized CMS. For example, MediaWiki is, in fact, also a CMS, but tailored for a specific type of site - wiki. Similarly, with specialized CMS for forums, online stores, etc.
For corp. business cards are now the easiest way to use wordpress. For tasks where wordpress is not suitable - drupal.

Maybe I'm wrong, but now there is hardly a CMS more serious, and most importantly, more popular than Joomla. She's old enough to have a huge community.

That's it!
Only any engine has its own range of tasks for which it is designed.
For example, Joomla/Drupal are not designed for business card sites, there is MODx for that, for example.
On the other hand, MODx is ideal for business cards, but there is no point in making a complex corporate website on it.
ps: (for chillers) yes you can make a business card on Drupal, yes you can make a cool portal on modx
