FPC connectors: is there an analog selection guide?

We are talking about connectors for thin cables (a keyboard in a laptop, for example). I often came across broken/lost fasteners on connectors as a result of the actions of someone's playful pens :-( Are there any materials for determining the type of fastener? There are, it seems, only 3-4 types and they probably have their own names. they cost a penny, but how to find the right type is not clear ... Well, in a more general case: having a cable and the remains of a connector on the board, how to determine what to change it to?

You need to know the number of pins and the pitch, google it in Yandex like this: FPC xxx pin yy mm
For example: FPC 24pin 0.5mm
In the same way, look for cables to it, just add "flex" to the search
