Can anyone suggest a component that works like the visual studio dataset designer? Those. with the ability to move blocks on the diagram, create links between them according to a certain attribute.

Did you look towards dsl-tools? Might be suitable for your task.

If I understand you correctly, then MindFusion.Diagramming for WinForms . And here I am looking for alternatives (although my specific task is slightly different from yours, the implementation of such things, as a rule, is universal).

Having not found clear alternatives, I made my own (almost) product: flowgraph.codeplex.com If anyone wants to use it too, I will be happy to answer questions, bug reports and wishes are also welcome.
