For what reasons can the headset not connect to the phone?

There is an old motorola v360 phone. The microphone and speaker stopped working and, as a temporary solution, the purchase of a bluetooth headset was chosen. It connects perfectly with the computer, but the phone does not want to connect to it, I motivate that this is impossible. Is it a common occurrence when phones do not want to be friends with headsets that were originally created for them?

There is a possibility that the protocols for working with the headset on the phone do not support modern standards, or, on the contrary, there is only support for the headset from Motorola ... this happened in old phones ...
