For what reason could files disappear on the disk?
Greetings.
Today I booted up a working computer and found that the picture on the desktop is missing, like all files. BUT all folders remained. Further inspection showed that files were missing from the entire /Users/%username% directory, selectively. Some .txt, .tiff, .psd remained, all the pictures and office files disappeared, but the file structure was saved there too. The Downloads folder contains executables, archives and ini.
Windows 7 Ultimate system. A couple of weeks ago, I installed a Samsung 830 128Gb SSD in my computer and cloned the system onto it. Could it be the SSD? What other options might there be?
