For games for the next 3-4 years, is ryzen 5 2600x or ryzen 7 1700x better (note for modders in the description)?

Responsible: I want to buy a percent for games. To pull new items at 60fps for the next 4 years. I will use the video card radeon rx580 8g, most likely from gigabyte, there is also a lack of understanding from whom it is better to take. As soon as Stalker 2 and TES VI come out, I'll buy something else (either a percent or a vidyuhu). I watched a lot of videos and they say that 1700x is better in editing and so on, and R5 5 2600x in games. Please advise which is better.

I would choose 2600. Higher initial clock speed. The number of cores \ thread is enough in both processes.
But my choice is intel i5 top of the modern generation. Type 86 series

7 2700X should be enough for 4 years, but your video card rx580 8g is not (it's trash right now)
