Follower vs subscriber?

What is the difference between entities?
If I understand correctly, the subscriber is the one who subscribes, and the follower in terms of who the subscriber is subscribed to.
For example, a subscriber to a channel for a channel will be a follower, right?

The subscriber subscribes to the entire data pool of the service, for example, a YouTube channel.
A follower to a specific stream, such as a specific topic/discussion in a forum section that you yourself occasionally read.
On the toaster, you are a subscriber to tags, but you are a follower, when you click on the "Subscribe" button in any question on absolutely any tags, and you will receive notifications for it (the question).
