Flexbox for information sites, yes or no?

How relevant is the transition to flex (in particular, within the Bootstrap 4 alpha), if mainly information sites are developed to generate an audience on them, i.e. projects with maximum coverage of non-IT audiences.

You see, flex is the same kind of layout tool (so to speak), just like float layout. Honestly, I myself combine flexes with floats, somewhere flex is more convenient, somewhere I have to fiddle with it for a long time.
By themselves, these tools seem to be different, but the result will be the same.
