First orders, choice of CMS?
Good evening! There is knowledge and practical experience of imposition. I also know JS, Jquery.. There are specific proposals for creating 2 sites (business card site and a portal for the taekwondo section). It is clear that this is like the first commercial experience - almost on the ball. But it is not entirely clear what is generally better to create on what. What is suitable for what? I'll put it this way:
WordPress - for business card sites and blogs
Drupal and Joomla - for everything else
Am I right? Tell me which is better. Thank you!

If you want to save time, then try to start with MODx, I think you will like it as a coder.
for the first time, it is better to take WP or Joomla, since there are already a lot of ready-made solutions for them (templates, modules, plugins).
If you have layout experience and a minimum knowledge of PHP, then take Kandidate CMS for a business card, here is an example of my site on it web.slusar.su . It is on files, it is easy to transfer from a computer to a hosting and does not eat resources. And pulling a template on it is easier than on MODX.
And in the future, I would advise you to look towards Drupal and MODX
dle. if you compare dle and wordpress, then this is heaven and earth. there is a minus - it is paid, but you just look at the template engine. there, really, everything is clear. open and immediately write a site. and with wordpress you will have to suffer. and it is also worth looking at the speed of work. wordpress unrealistically lags behind dle in terms of speed.
DLE - I personally like it. I have been using for 2 years now. Lots of features. Convenient templating , so if you 're mostly a designer and not a programmer . You will still quickly and easily figure it out. And don't worry about the cost. You can download a free version everywhere on the Internet. At least I didn’t notice an excellent one
