First day on Debian, how to set up VS Code?

Looked for guides, but didn't find anything. Can someone tell me how to set up includePath in general, where to find it. Do I need to download standard libraries for coding? (well, where does iostream come from and other default stuff).
It appeared on Debian relatively recently, but I'm setting up the IDE for this OS for the first time.
