There is a site made on Joomla. There is a feedback form in the header. Since yesterday the form stopped working correctly. By clicking on the "send" button - a white screen. Email messages do not arrive. At the same time, new messages are visible in the admin panel ... Maybe someone has come across a similar one ... What could be the problem?

Well, it could be anything.
It is not clear how exactly the form is implemented, maybe some atm module or something third-party. If there is a white screen, then there is clearly an error. Try turning on the error display, maybe we will see what the problem is.

What should you do with the connection: in the database or in Yii?
First, draw up a base schema (ER model), and then make AR classes from it (they depend directly on the schema, and if you do everything through Gii, you can / need only make the schema in the database and that's it)
