Family Internet: Yota Modem → computer → router?

In light of the latest Yota modernization, the topic has become relevant: you need to temporarily distribute the Internet around the apartment through a router connected to a computer on which the Internet is through a “whistle”.
The router is the most common Asus WL-520GC, Windows 7 Ultimate is installed on the computer.
Google turned up a lot of results, but there is no answer to a specific question. Perhaps someone has a ready-made solution or at least a course of action?

So this is the usual internet connection sharing, the router can not be used as a router, but simply as a hub. Have you tried, is there a problem?

Be careful with the regular mechanism for distributing the Internet in windows 7, or rather, everything is worse - by connecting the Internet to the machine, you will deprive it of access to public smb resources (both windows and samba) on the local network, while other machines from the local network will have access to files of your internet hosting machine.
This is a well known bug ., network connection without specifying a gateway - automatically becomes 'Unidentified network' and access to shared resources is blocked (theoretically, it is possible to force the network adapter to be set to private 'Working network' mode, but I did not succeed), when setting the gateway by mind, the network can be specified as home/work and be happy, but when using 'Internet Sharing', I could not set the selected adapter (on the network to which Internet access is published) to specify the gateway.
ps I was expecting something similar from microsoft, We shoveled the network subsystem, and then made it so that it is unrealistic to use it in cheap configurations (buy a couple of servers from microsoft, not linux, set it up, you will be happy).
