Information security is now a path to the cybertroops... :) A very necessary and useful profession, but I think they teach poorly... In our city, everyone who studied in this specialty works as photographers and web developers :) Therefore, there will be a diploma, but You need to study separately and on good paid courses.

In principle, the first topic is more general - it is mainly about cryptography, the second topic is more specialized, it is about data protection in computer systems. In general, the topics are very close, so you need to look at specific course programs. I would prefer the first topic, as it is more general, which means it suggests a larger area where you can apply your knowledge. Kaspersky hires "information security" specialists, that's for sure. But in the second specialty, for sure, too, if the training is deep enough.

Information security is closer to wallets, computer security is closer to techies.
