Facebook does not display a preview when publishing a post link from the wp site, there is still an image in the Facebook constructor, after clicking on the publish button, the image disappears.

It's hard to pinpoint the cause without details, but Facebook has its own tool that shows how Facebook "sees" your site's pages (and points out problem areas, if any).
So, type in the URL of your site's page into their debugger and see what's wrong.
