External RAID for Mac?

Good afternoon.
I am looking for home storage for Mac (Time Machine + archive), I dug information for a long time ... Now I have identified three main models:

  • LaCie 2big on 6Tb (8Tb version not found) ( link )
  • G-Tech 8TB G-RAID ( link )
  • WD My Book Thunderbolt Duo 8Tb ( link )

Basic requirements: 2 disks (to enable RAID 1, preferably a metal case, maximum capacity, Thunderbolt, cost up to $900-1000).
WD does not really like the appearance and plastic case, in 8Tb version it is more expensive than its counterpart from G-Tech.
And yes, I understand that RAID 1 in all three versions is software-based, since Macos allows you to do this easily (you don’t need a take-out-poppy holivara).
I will be very glad to your opinion and advice. Should I stop at one of these models or have I missed analogues (in the indicated price range) or is there something new on the way?

You can also look here , though basically the same thing. There are some more Hitachi ... but RAID1 does not seem to support hardware.
