Explorer began to slow down a lot after changing the computer name (after setting up a home network). What to do?
It was necessary to transfer 80GB of information from a laptop to a stationary one: the usual way to do this did not work, I had to set up a home network. Then it turned out that both my computers are called the same Nikez-PC and Nikez-PC, I changed the name of the stationary one to Nikez-PC1 and the computer began to blunt very much: the folder loaded for 8 minutes, the reboot took 30 minutes. In the end, the home network was set up and all the data was transferred to the right place, but the brakes on the computer did not go away. Does anyone know what to do in such a situation?
How specifically it slows down:
It shows the contents of the folder for a very long time.
The green status bar at the top is loading minutes.
Recognizes the contents of the folder for a long time (what type of files are there)
"My computer generally opens for a long time"
At the same time, all programs open quickly and work too quickly, the hardware is good, before that everything also “flyed”
What I tried:
Changed the name of the computer back to Nikez-PC
Did a system restore
Went through CCleaner
Didn’t help
