Experience in c# asp.net?

Tell us how to gain experience in programming practical tasks? I mean that in books, textbooks with tasks like “find the minimum and maximum elements in an array”, you can get some basic knowledge, but it is much more useful to solve some more useful tasks.
In my case, this is "C#", I want some small tasks, interesting and very interesting.
In general, if you have any thoughts - write.
In other words, I will do something for free.
I heard that you can participate in open source, but how? Is there any guide?

The obvious answer about opensource is to go to github and look for c# projects. Another conversation is that "interesting and very interesting tasks" are unlikely to be immediately possible if you are just starting to write in the language.

Take problems, for example, for Pascal and solve them in C#. Then try to write the same tasks in object style.
Then, in pursuit of building skills, you can also read interesting articles on Habré.
If you suddenly realize that it's not for you, you can try F#. You can develop your thinking well on it, and then return back to C # to practice the functionality there.
