Exchange 2010 CAS Array: Will clients previously connected to one of the servers still work?

Hello!
I'm planning to move from one server to another. I think to do this:
Now server1 is working. I will set up server2, merge with server1 in cas (name, for example, cas.company.local).
Questions are:
1) When I set up cas.company.local - will clients that are configured to connect to server1 continue to work?
2) Do I need to configure clients to connect to cas.company.local or can I configure them to connect to server2 and shut down server1?
I can not find enough detailed information on my case.

Are you confusing CAS and DAG? Do you have the same OS and Exchange versions?
