ESP8266 opens VS Code tabs. How to turn it off?

When connecting the NodeMCU to the computer via the USB port, Visual Studio Code starts opening the Arduino Example tabs (the same one, not my project). This does not always happen, and after opening several tabs it does not open again. How to fix? Thank you.
