ESC commands to define the beginning and end (for cutting) of the label?

Task:
Determine the beginning of the label on the tape, print a barcode on it, cut between labels.
What ESC commands are needed to start printing from the beginning of the label and how to determine where it ends?
I tried: it cuts at random and the start does not work from the beginning of the label
. Maybe you need to somehow drive the tape to the beginning of the roll?
need ESC commands to feed the tape to the beginning of the label and determine the end of the label

Question: what printer do you use and in what language do you write? under something like zebra on zpl2?
If yes, then first check how your printer determines the labels, whether auto-calibration is worth it.
Tape settings can be: continuous media (solid tape without anything), non-continuous media web sensing, non-continuous media mark sensing (with "transparent" breaks).
Those. I insert a tape with labels, there is a translucent gap between the labels. I adjust the red dot so that it is exactly in the center of the label), turn on auto-calibration (in general, I have it by default) - the printer spits out three labels and accurately determines the beginning of the next one.
Actually ^xa - the beginning of the label ^xz - the end of the label, after that the printer automatically moves to the beginning of the next one.
