Error building library using Retrolamda Java 8?

I am trying to upload a library to Bintray. When compiling, it gives the following error. Here are the logs:

And here's more:
Jack is required to support java 8 language features.

The error is related to Retrolambda for some reason even though I don't use it in the project. Retrolamda is used in a separate module with an example of using the library.
