Error 404 Not Found nginx/1.6.2?

The problem is that when switching to one of my jobs, some people (potential employers) get a 404 error. Neither I nor my friends whom I asked to come in had such problems, but from time to time they do not write me indifferent people and talk about the mistake. With what it can be connected?
