Equalizer without using android.media.audiofx?

Hello.
I want to start writing my own player for android radio tape recorders.
Everything seemed to start fine, but then I realized that most players use android.media.audiofx .
In some firmware, it is simply cut out.
Is there any replacement for android.media.audiofx?
Or some ready-made equalizer that does not use this library?
