Encfs, Dropbox - synchronization on different devices, with different OS?
Hello everyone. I need to synchronize encrypted files from Dropbox to different devices with different OS (Windows, Linux, Android)
Created 2 directories on my home machine (Linux, Ubuntu) (encfs ~/EncryptDropbox ~/DecryptDropbox), uploaded files to ~/ DecryptDropbox. Unmounted - checked, yes, the files are encrypted. Mounted - in ~/EncryptDropbox - encrypted, in ~/DecryptDropbox - decrypted. Everything is as it should be. Connected Dropbox and synchronized already encrypted files to the cloud.
Trying to get files on another machine (Linux, Ubuntu).
I create the same (encfs ~/EncryptDropbox ~/DecryptDropbox). I specify the ~/EncryptDropbox directory as a directory for file synchronization, ~/DecryptDropbox - for decrypted files.
I mount, but the files in both ~/DecryptDropbox and ~/EncryptDropbox are equally encrypted.
On Android, I tried the Cryptonite application - and it also failed to decrypt.
What's the matter?
