Editor for yii on ubuntu virtual OS?

Created a basic yii2 application on the ubuntu virtual OS, accessed using putty via the command line. The OS itself was installed through the virtual box vagrant wrapper with a command in the terminal. If you run this OS through a virtual box, then the graphical interface does not appear after authorization, although it should usually be. Maybe this is due to the fact that the OS was created through vagrant, and not the virtual box interface.
In general, the only way to view files is through the terminal using cat. Editing along the same lines. I want to use phpstorm, or at least sublime text. Is it possible via terminal or reinstall yii2 project on windows?

Making websites on the Yii2 framework is better through the NetBeans IDE , there are many reasons to use it.
Quickly looks for use, and correctly finds the path to widgets, models, controllers, you can go to them as a link - this is very convenient. Quick hints for existing code. Customized and intuitive interface, supports many different programming languages:
The program is free, themes and syntax highlighting are configured as you like.
Created projects can be uploaded directly through the program, connecting to real sites like on FileZilla, only faster.
You can view pictures))) For me personally, this is a big plus, it’s just as easy to navigate to media files using hints, the list already has all the created folders and files, you just need to choose what to insert. Files can be uploaded directly to the project tree, several files, not one at a time, you can also drag and drop from one folder to another.
You can see all the syntax errors and how to solve them, how to fix them.
Everything is at hand, and the program is one!
Of the minuses, on the old hardware it slows down a lot, but it works
