I have been using the Pocketbook 301 for about a year and a half now. Excellent e-book, I really like it. Moderately powerful, understands all conceivable formats and knows how to work with them normally.

But bad luck, her screen is terribly, unforgivably fragile. Almost the slightest pressure, and the most delicate substrate cracks and renders the entire screen unusable.

And a couple of days ago, I broke it for the second time, just unsuccessfully pushing with my elbow.

Screen replacement in the service center costs 5000 rubles. at the moment it is more than half the price of the device.
Change the screen, and then again walk in fear, constantly making sure that God forbid you somehow put the book wrong, or that someone in the subway does not press too hard, etc. I don't want to.

In general, I would like to know if there are adequate books without this disease with a screen? At the same time, of course, I would like support for fb2, epub, pdf, djvu, etc., decent speed, expandable memory and long life on a single battery charge.

PS: I saw a topic about replacing the screen with my own hands, but I'm unlikely to master it.

Onyx Boox - very good and good!
I myself use the A60. I think the new, 61st series will be just as successful.
I never broke screens and always treated gadgets with care, but in Onyx Boox the screen is reinforced with an iron frame.

kindle 3g or dx, e-ink pearl is really worth it. DX is bigger, but 6" kindle is somehow quicker. Interestingly, in Russia, "gray" kindles cost the same money as pocketbooks, and if you order from Amazon, it's even cheaper.
The only thing that attracts against their background in pocketbooks is Russian text-to-speech, really well done, you can use it.If it was put in kindle, there would be no questions.

I have a Sony PRS-300 - so my daughter has already made four marks (for the first time hitting the edge of the phone, the next - purposefully knocking with something sharp), so these are just small such points, about a millimeter, blackened, do not particularly interfere with reading.
Reads everything, but not on standard firmware.

I recommend gmini magicbook m6 great thing. With the latest firmware, it reads all kinds of formats (including DJVU). Pages turn very quickly. Firmware based on Linux, processor 400 MHz. There is a radio as a bun. There is no wifi, but personally I buy an e-book to read, not to surf the Internet. In general I recommend.

I join those that Kindle recommended. I myself had a Pocketbook 302, the screen cracked 3 months after purchase, for no apparent reason. I think that in the transport the body somehow warped, and when it returned to its normal position, the screen cracked. Screen replacement is more expensive than a new Kindle. And given that the screen is worse, I see no reason to repair it. I myself now took the Kindle and do not regret it a bit. Yes, the touchscreen is a little lacking, but at the same time the screen is just super, compared to the poketbook ones. Namely, the screen IMHO is the main thing in readers.
