Drupal 6 -> Drupal 8 upgrade - problem?

I have an old site on Drupal 6. There is an idea to upgrade to Drupal 8.
Question 1: will the theme (template, design) be able to work on Drupal 8?
Question 2: what other problems can there be and how problem-free is this procedure?

The theme won't work. There will be a lot of problems.
It's easier to create a new site and transfer content using the Migate module.
