There is a server with a domain controller, on this server it is necessary to perform manipulations without AD services.
Do I understand correctly that I can raise an additional server, make it another domain controller,
lower the original one to a regular server, do manipulations and raise it again?
At the same time, all this will go unnoticed for users and no data will be lost?

Don't forget to transfer FSMO roles to the new controller.
