Domains on ebay for $1 + 100gb of hosting - what's the catch?
On ebay often began to appear offers to register a domain in the com zone for .. 99 cents (i.e. 99 cents per year), and plus offer 100! gb hosting in addition. Here is an example: One-COM-domain-name-FREE-paid-100GB-hosting
But if you follow the link to their site, in this case it is godaddy.com, then the domain is already there for $12, and hosting is far from free.
Naturally, I have already looked at the reputation of the authors of these proposals, and .. almost all of them have above 99% positive feedback.
What's the catch?)
And in general, is it worth buying a domain or hosting like this?

It's all there in the description. Most likely this is some kind of referral program.
You follow the link, place an order, money is withdrawn from your card and immediately returned as a 100% discount. Valid only when registering a new account and only for a year. If you want to go further - pay the tariff. Such promotions are not uncommon even for domestic providers. Another thing is whether it is worth getting involved in if you are not going to pay the full price later.
