Does the TESTME plugin make your site work worse?

TESTME is a plugin for Wordpres that allows you to create and embed tests on a page.
The question is as follows.
If it is planned to use a large number of tests (more than 500) on the site, will this affect the operation of the site, for the worse? I heard that when using plugins, the page loading speed drops, and the load on the server also increases.
Perhaps you should use another plugin, then which one would you recommend?
Or is it worth using some other way to place tests?

As already written, it all depends on the author. In general, I read reviews on the Internet - it seems that the word “slows down” did not slip anywhere. But it is alarming that the plugin is not in the official wordpress.org repository. Perhaps the author lacks the skill to write a demo version (I understand that the plugin is paid).
The only 99% accurate test is to put the plugin on a copy of the site (preferably on the same host, because we are testing the load) and fill those same 500 tests with random questions (lorem ipsum).
You can order freelance testing - it will be faster.

Depends on the curvature of the hands of the plugin writer. If it is normally written, it will practically not affect the speed. If it's crooked, it can sag at the most reluctant.
