Not so long ago, I rewrote pagination on the site - I screwed up Ajax. From the point of view of usability, in my opinion, it has become much more convenient, pages are loaded instantly. But at the same time, the index of viewing depth by Y. Metrika decreased almost 3 times - from 5.5 to 2.1 views. In the next update of the issuance of Yandex, the positions for many queries sank slightly. There were no other changes.
Q: Does browsing depth really affect rankings? Do you have to sacrifice usability in the pursuit of positions?
