Does the cloudflare tariff protect against Pro attacks?

Hello everyone, this is the question.
Is it worth taking the Pro tariff to protect the site from attacks and, accordingly, acceleration? How are things going with the defense?
I tried to use stackpath, the price is the same, BUT the second one can add sites as many as you want, while Cloud has only one. Yes, and stackpath liked support with protection.
I haven’t tried the Pro tariff on cloud, I ask for advice

Pro tariff protects well from brute attacks, from application level - as lucky, but in general this tariff not only gives the best DDoS protection, but also many fine settings that are not in the free plan - caching settings, proxying, redirects and a bunch of other things, also DDoS settings protection, showing captcha, etc.

And the usual one normally protects if the site is on vps, and everything is fine configured

Protective in a nutshell.
Alas, it is impossible to understand how good a DDoS protection service is until the moment of a serious attack. Therefore, the only option left is to study the history of other sites. cloudflare has a lot of success stories, and they originally started out as anti-DDoS, as opposed to stackpath\maxCDN.
So I like cloudflare more.
But I agree that stackpath plans (traffic instead of number of sites) look attractive.
