Does SLES 11 SP3 work in Hyper-V 2012 R2?

We plan to use as a guest OS on Hyper-V 2012 R2, SLES 11 SP3 serving Group Wise 2014. Interested in whether anyone uses such a bundle? Is it worth the trouble? Are all the necessary integration components integrated into SLES or will it have to be installed manually? Will the system work in Generation 2 mode? Thanks in advance for your replies.

Gen 2 won't work (at least it doesn't boot for me, maybe it does, although I did note 9 from the article below).

***tfu you have 11, then yes - gen 2 is definitely not.
