Does RAML have advantages over SWAGGER (Open Api) in 2018?
When choosing a documentation system, RAML was chosen because of the promise of less duplication.
However, I noticed that there is very little FRESH documentation and articles on RAML, the tools that were developed for it, a lot of them have not been developed for 2-3+ years, the 1.0 version is poorly supported by the tools (including PostMan had to generate RAML => Swagger) .
We haven't used Swagger yet, just diving into documentation systems.
In this regard, the question is: does it make sense to use RAML in 2018, perhaps SWAGGER has already fixed those shortcomings due to which RAML was created as a more advanced alternative?

RAML is top-down, Swagger is bottom-up, they are completely different.
I use Swagger to automatically generate documentation based on code and comments. There are some rough edges, but overall it works. Allows you to save a lot of time, and it is easy to keep the documentation up to date.
