Does Nginx redirect with default system and configs?

Installed nginx on a clean Ubuntu 16.04.3 LTS server. I go to ip and instead of the classic stub, I am thrown to ip / index with a 404 error, respectively.
Before that, there was a trouble on the same ip, it was just necessary to cut out all the .html endings, it seemed to work, but the pages were not displayed, only the url was correctly formed.
What can I do to reset everything to default?
Demolished Ubuntu more than once.

Ubuntu has nothing to do with it, you need to correctly configure virtual hosts and the basic nginx setup. Without the contents of the /etc/nginx/nginx.conf file and all the files in the /etc/nginx/sites-available folder, it’s hard to say exactly what the problem is.
