Does mysql 8 work with python 3.6?

I downloaded mysqlclient 1.3, I try to connect to the database, I get an error, I found on the Internet that people with the same problem change from mysql 8 to mysql 5.7
If there is no other way out, then how to install the old version, only deleting the current one?
