Does multiple firewalls add security?
I imagine it as a sieve for something, if you take and put a few together, it will be more difficult for any garbage to pass through. However, I'm not sure if I put myself 2-3 firewalls that they will not interfere with each other. I use PC.
So does it make sense even with Eset Smart Security 10 installed, to install an additional firewall for everyone?

The firewall consists of:
Apart from the possibility of zeroday in the kernel module itself (so far there has not been a single time on ipfilter ... a critical vulnerability (correct if I'm wrong)), then the level of security provided by the firewall is determined only by the list of filtering rules.
When they say "Firewall A is better/worse than Firewall B", then it seems to mean that list of filtering rules that comes by default out of the box. Various "modes" of the firewall are also some predefined default lists of filtering rules.
If you take network security seriously, you will inevitably have to manually write filtering rules for yourself, since there is no such magic filter that would cut off everything unnecessary and at the same time not touch anything you need, since the firewall cannot know for you,
At this level, it is no longer so important which particular firewall is used, security here is completely determined by the list of rules you wrote, and choosing a firewall is practically reduced to choosing a GUI.
Reminds me of the joke about condoms and burnt rubber.
Your assumption about the sieve is incorrect.
If you don't configure the firewall and/or make messy connections, the garbage will get through anyway.
