Does learning swift on High Sierra make sense?

Hello! Installed a hackintosh with High Sierra
I'm going to learn Swift
Does it make sense to do this not on the latest XCode? Will there be limited functionality, etc.

there will be no access to the latest sdk.
but for learning it is not particularly important.
